Physical Education & Health Teaching Plan
A teaching plan in Physical Education (PE) is essential as it provides a structured approach to delivering lessons, ensuring that students develop physical skills, fitness, and health knowledge effectively. A well-designed teaching plan helps educators create meaningful learning experiences that promote active participation, skill mastery, and lifelong engagement in physical activities.Learning Objectives in Physical EducationIn designing a Physical Education (PE) teaching plan, it is crucial to define clear learning objectives that align with a holistic educational approach.
PE aims to impact students comprehensively, fostering not only their physical abilities but also their cognitive understanding and emotional well-being. Therefore, the learning objectives should cover three key aspects:

-
Cognitive Domain (Knowledge and Understanding)
-
Affective Domain (Attitudes and Values)
-
Psychomotor Domain (Physical Skills and Performance)
By integrating these three domains, PE education aims to holistically develop students, ensuring they are not only physically educated but also mentally and socially well-rounded individuals. The ultimate goal is to cultivate a movement culture, where students recognize the importance of an active lifestyle and continue to engage in physical activities beyond their school years.
Curriculum
The curriculum

Curriculum covers fundamental subjects, including biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science, English, Filipino, social studies, and the arts.
Beyond the core courses, USHS offers a range of elective subjects, allowing students to explore their interests and enhance their skills. These electives may include environmental science, robotics, and agricultural science.
Additionally, the school provides various extracurricular activities, enabling students to develop their talents, collaborate with others, and engage in leadership roles. These activities include the Student Body Organization & Supreme Student Government (SBO-SSG), The Researcher (journalism), and so on.

Lesson Plan Health 8

Lesson Plan Health 8

This semi-detailed lesson plan is designed to provide a structured and engaging learning experience in both Health and Physical Education classes at USHS. In Health Class, the lesson focuses on communicable diseases, their types, and prevention, aiming to enhance students’ health awareness and communication skills.
Meanwhile, the Physical Education lesson introduces Hip-Hop Dance as part of Active Recreation, helping students understand different dance styles, master fundamental movements, and develop coordination and confidence. Using a mix of interactive resources, videos, and practical exercises, this lesson plan ensures that students actively participate and apply their learning effectively.
The Physical Education curriculum in Indonesia and the Philippines shares the common goal of promoting health, motor skills, and an active lifestyle, but they differ in structure and approach. In Indonesia, Physical Education is a standalone mandatory subject that focuses on sports, fitness, and fundamental movements, including local content such as pencak silat and traditional games.
Other
Meanwhile, in the Philippines, Physical Education is integrated into MAPEH (Music, Arts, PE, and Health) and places greater emphasis on cultural dances, recreational activities, and community-based fitness. The Indonesian approach leans more toward sports competency and character education through physical activities, while the Philippine approach is holistic, combining elements of arts and health.
Assessment in Indonesia focuses on motor skill tests, theoretical knowledge, and participation in sports, whereas in the Philippines, it includes reflection on a healthy lifestyle, fitness projects, and evaluation in dance and recreational activities. Despite these differences, both curricula aim to develop active, healthy students who understand the importance of physical activity in daily life.
